Western Star Trucks Australia is celebrating after taking out the prestigious Truck of the Show award at the 2009 Queensland Truck and Machinery Show, which was recently held in Brisbane.
Wester Stars 6900 FXC was judged by a panel of industry journalists as being the stand out performer of the show after meeting rigorous selection criteria, which included presentation, vehicle specifications, work readiness and strength of public interest.
Pat Cook, Marketing Manager, stated that that the award acknowledged the superior build quality and performance delivered by Western Star.
The 6900 FXC is the premier model within the Western Star range and is real crowd pleaser.
With its Cummins power the 6900 FXC leaves many of its competitors in its wake, when it comes to performance, rugged style and value for money.
We displayed eight trucks from each of our brands, covering a wide variety of vehicle specifications, including the crowd favourite, the MAN HX58 6x6 military vehicle.
Our stands were by far the most popular at the show, attracting a large number of high quality enquiries.
Our merchandise displays were completely sold out each day, reinforcing the strength and popularity of the Western Star and MAN brands in Australia.
Overall the event was a huge success and we look forward to attending the next major event on the Australian Truck Show calendar in Melbourne next year, Pat said.
